Conquering Mt. Samat Bataan 10-09-10

Last Friday, September 10, 2010 team Adventureros conquered Mt. Samat at Bataan where the famed ”Dambana ng Kangitigan” Shrine is located.

The team together with some new found friends started the journey at the Supercat Station at the back of MOA, We left manila at around 6:00 am and arrived at Orion Bataan after an hour. The roundtrip fare is 500 pesos discounted for PMTBikers.Org Members.

The group started peddling at 7:15 am at Orion Bataan Port and reached Total Pilar Gas Station located at Roman Super highway corner Gov. JJ Linao Rd. The Team was greeted by some Bataan Mountain Bikers and have their Break Fast combo Lunch at Ortiz Gotohan at Kainan.

After another hour of peddling uphill for 7 kilometers, the first group reached the peak at around 12:00 pm and followed by the other team members a few minutes later.

We where greeted by the great view and cool winds which make us stay for around 3 hours.

We left the peak at around 4 pm and reached the bottom after around 7 minutes, some of the bikers reached a whooping 75kph.  

We take a short break at Ortiz Gotohan at Kainan and left orion bataan port at around 5:30 pm and back to MOA at 6:30.
